MY VIEWS ON PRO-LIFE OPINIONS
Well to start this off, today, in Global History my teacher was speaking about governments and how they can make you do things that may be the total opposite of your personal beliefs. We brought up abortion and one girl said she thought it was wrong because she believed that everyone should be born. I didn't mind because she wasn't pushing her beliefs on anyone, she was just speaking her mind. Another girl said "but still, no baby should ever be killed". That's where I came in.. all I said was that scientifically it wasn't a "baby" before the first three months. She got really mad about it but I just zoned her out because I really didn't want to fight with some loud, ignorant, immature girl who "never loses in a debate".
This really really made me mad, as does every pro-life human who really knows nothing more than what the bible says, what the constitution says and how "you're a slut who had sex so you can have the baby". First off, the fact that there are women out there today, fighting for abortion to be illegal really gets to me. Why wouldn't you want rights to your own body? Why would you want some fucked up government taking away another woman's right? When these people are out there protesting against everything I stand for I really wonder: Have they ever experienced pregnancy? Have they assosicated with someone who wasn't able to raise the baby in their stomach? Or someone who didn't want to live their life knowing they weren't good enough to raise the baby that came out of their body so they had to give it to someone better to take their "job"? Do they know that most children that are adopted get shit for it from their peers?
The fact that there are men out there who are making a bigger impact on this topic than women also really bothers me. It seems like men get to make more choices for me than I can. Why is that? Because before feminism men thought owned the female body as if we are just some peice of worthless land? I'm sorry, wake up, this is a modern world. Feminists exist and will sure as hell fight till the day they die to have their rights. I have more to say about this but I'll just save it for another topic.
Another thing that really boggles my mind is when people say(like I've stated a million times before) "You made the choice to have the sex, you should be able to live with the consequences". EXACTLY PEOPLE! I made the choice to have sex and I'm making the choice to have an abortion. You have no say in what I should and can't do with my body or life! I don't run around telling people that an abortion is the easiest way out. I sure as hell don't tell people they HAVE to agree with what I think about this topic. I just wish you would stop protesting against one of the most important rights (I believe) I have.
