I found a particularly scared woman in the Nexus this morning, Yuriko. I hope she feels better soon.

I have an appointment with Doctor MacTaggart this afternoon. I know I shouldn't be so nervous but...I really don't like doctors.

Marie's having trouble with an alternate, on top of everything else. Poor girl. As if she didn't have enough

"Ooh! Any thoughts? Piano? Clarinet? Trumpet? Harmonica? Bassoon? Marimba? PVC xylephone? Wineglasses?"

"...I don't even know what a marimba is, Sel."

It's like a big, wooden xylephone. Has a nice, mellow tone, and you play it with hammers made out of yarn." She grins.

"Interesting. Not very portable though, I wouldn't imagine."

"Well, they usually have wheels..."

"Mmmm, I think I'll start with something else."

"Harmonicas are really portable."

[vicioussweetie]

"Yes. They are that. That's a good point."

"How about we go shopping, and you see what feels good?"

"Sounds fun."

[oh_what_a_story]

"Wheeeeee!" She stops, grinning, and glances down at her pajamas. "I should probably get dressed, huh? Shoes, at least."

"That would help, yes. I think we should do something really crazy, and go in proper clothes."

Sel gasps. "That's just crazy enough to work!"

"We must try this now! For, um, great justice!"

She's really hoping this'll work.

[oh_what_a_story]

"Yes! For great justice! You know what you doing!" And, cackling madly like a mad, cackly thing, Sel takes off for her room to dress.

Ali curls up with a book to wait for Sel to get ready, marveling at the fact that that worked.
