A much quieter day...

I'm sorry to everyone I worried yesterday. As should now be clear, I really don't handle panic well.

Can we never speak of it again? I'd appreciate that.

We've decided on Delaine, I think. We both like it and it sounds nice...

She grabs her Big Bag of Stuff, then holds a hand out to him. "You'll have to lead the way."

((How do you want to do this?))

He takes her hand and smiles. "Of course, my lady."

((I... have no idea. *laughs*))

((Well, we could play it out, or we could decide generally what happens and write narratives.))

((Well... we should probably decide what happens whether we write narratives or play it out, because I have no clue how this works. How do they even go about doing this?))

((Well...when and where does he last remember having a name? What's his last memory before he became the marquis? They'd have to head there...))

((It would be one of the Markets, I'm quite sure... possibly one taking place at- I want to say Big Ben, because I like giant clocks. *laughs* Are they actually going back to that point in time? Because whee, the idea of a young, less experienced de Carabas is... interesting!))

((That's the idea. Have you decided what happened to his name? Did he...ooh, at a Market. Did he sell it?))

((It's an idea Gaiman's used. In Stardust. ^.^ So maybe they go to the market and need to buy it back?))

((Oh, THIS'll be fun. "When I say that I had lost my name, that is not entirely correct. As a matter of fact, I sold it." *snickers*))

((....I'm thinking he probably sold it for information he needed at the time, to one of those small groups, perhaps one from Old Street.

And it depends... whatever he has to pay will probably not be too steep a price. I'm actually thinking that he'll pull off one of those deals that actually makes him kind of scary- like, even with this deal you'll owe me, or perhaps threatening to call in a favour one of them owes him, and offering to drop it if they give him his name, making the trade that way. *grins*))

((But if the him at that point in time was owed favors, why would he sell his name? If he was young and new, he wouldn't have the centuries of favors people owe him, remember.))

((Oh no, sorry, I phrased that badly. I mean that, originally, he probably sold it for several pieces of highly useful information. He'd probably been down there for... I'd say about eight months, and trying to establish himself for a little less than that.

...How he gets it back entirely depends on whether they're going to back then and doing the transaction there, or just going back to have a look and then popping forward to a (more) current market.))

((Ah. Which would he want to do? It's his name after all. Ali would suggest getting it ASAP so it doesn't change hands again.))
