At least Ali had not faced those tasks alone--Sasha's aid came with her approval, and she smiled fondly to Ali as their labors came to an end in the cool predawn gloom.

Ali wraps her arms around Sasha, stealing a kiss. "Think she'll like it all?"

Sasha returns the kiss fondly, her arms sliding around her fiancee's waist. "Mmm, I do believe so."

"Good. I hope so. Do you want to get some sleep before she wakes up?"

[chill_whispers]

"Do we have that much time?"

[vicioussweetie]

"Doubtful. But I could keep her busy with breakfast while you get a nap at least."

[chill_whispers]

"And I could keep her company after breakfast, while you catch one?" she offers smoothly.

[vicioussweetie]

"And miss the hunt? Never!"

[chill_whispers]

"Of course, how silly of me. I shall indulge in a brief nap, then--no more than twenty minutes, and only so one of us is slightly less sleep-deprived than the other, should that suddenly matter."

"Go and rest, love." Ali kisses her forhead, then gently pushes her towards the stairs.

Sasha at least returns the kiss before going, intending to catch only a brief nap and setting her alarm accordingly. Twenty minutes should be enough to refresh her a little without taking too long.

It probably would, if Ali didn't sneak in and reset the alarm to give her at least two hours.

The one on the nightstand and the digital thermometer's timer she's hidden under her pillow both?

No. Sasha's sneaky!

She is. And half an hour after she went upstairs, she descends again, wrapped in a lovely silk nightgown and shimmering robe, to see what she has missed while she slumbered.

Ingress has come downstairs, wearing a pale blue dress, and is just starting to eat the eggs and bacon Ali's made her for breakfast. She sets her fork down and slides out of her chair when she sees Sasha, though, to go over and give her a hug. "Good morning."
