The most deviant thing I can think of for a sidhe is to be Communist. Anything else would be considered acceptable by someone somewhere.

---
The revolution had been glorious. Mother Russia had been freed from her bourgeois nationalism, and Ali had been pardoned of the iniquitous crime of being born into the remains of a noble family. She had even sometimes been pardoned of looking so damn aristocratic. A childhood of rigorous training had won her freedom; her dalliance with a spy, or being a spy (the story had been changed so often even she didn't remember anymore), made her a hero. She walked the halls of power with but one purpose: to serve her comrades and the Republics. She was the first of her family to survive.

She was the first, they said, to avoid betraying some inherent flaw of the haute bourgeoisie. Her parents had tried, wanting to work within the system to protect their neighbors. One too many disappearances in the night lead them to ask questions--and then they were gone, too.

Ali's charisma, born of such old-fashioned and good-hearted nobility as to be unrecognizable, was literally her saving grace. Her superiors believed her to be a useful cog, a lovely leader-puppet, someone to tour the factories and the farms giving speeches about the glories of the state and all its workers. They kept her secluded in the old palaces and curtained offices, where they thought she would never see the flaws in the system. And if she did see the cracks, she never said anything. She knew she'd help no one if she disappeared, too. Her people would need living leaders when things fell apart, not dead idealists.

In Soviet Russia, Ali... is pretty much the same, actually.

^.^ Ali really needs more ominous organ music.

Ali and an appropriate musical score could be a dangerous combination... <.

Or it could end up being a very "Brave Sir Robin" situation. Depends on the musicians.
