Gods, sometimes I wish artists weren't so temperamental. If they weren't geniuses, I wouldn't have any patience for them at all; as it is, I have very little, and they're quickly wearing it out.

Time, I think, for a vacation.

Not yet, at least; I hope! I've offered him a job as my personal assistant. I really should rest more, the twins are really tiring me out. He can run errands and take phone calls and all that sort of thing. Hopefully being out of his icky job will help.

He has yet to accept.

No, of course, you are right. Shall I seek some understanding with his employer, should he prove intractable?

I think, if he were to get fired, he'd be quite lost in his depression.

But if we could get him to spend time around other creative people, I think it would help.

Agreed. I was thinking rather the reverse.

...I don't think he'd like to be a supervisor, either.

So! We must arrange an outing, I'm thinking to the country house, with lots and lots of creative people. All manner of artists. I think having the chance to try something new might help, too.

No, that might make him feel pressured to perform. More a retreat.

Artists, supplies, and lots and lots of food.

And costumes. I have no doubt we'll all need to pose for someone before the week's out.

Um...I think I'll need new hiking boots. I don't think my old ones will fit anymore. But I'll need to get those myself.

How about I arrange the food, you issue the invitations? THen we can both do the packing.
