Hans has been in stranger situations (the nexus, for example), but certainly some of the court and other peoples brought forth here today are more than his imagination would normally allow for.

Were it not for his lady love and her exposing him to worlds and things far beyond his wildest dreams.

But so it is that he seeks her out, after having enjoyed the play tremendously. He has for her a bouquet of calla lillies, along with a hug and kiss. "That was simply marvelous, my love."

It's hard to tell which of the things he's brought her Ali likes best, as she's so pleased to see him. The hug and kiss are happily returned.

"Thank you. I'm so glad you were able to come."

He smiles. "As am I. Wherever did you find this play?"

"It was a gift from a very dear friend of mine. I would introduce you, but he's probably already left."

[hammerofhell]

"Regardless, it was a fantastic gift," Hans replies. "Thank-you very much, for inviting me."

"It was," she answers, very seriously.

But she can only stay serious for so long today. "Do you really think I could have done otherwise?"

He shakes his head. "No, no I do not. But that does not mean I cannot appreciate it all the same."

"Fair enough." Ali gives him another hug, but when she draws back this time she looks confused. "Did you see where Samus went?"

Hans frowns slightly, despite the pleasure and closeness of the hug.

"You know, I did not, come to think of it."

[vicioussweetie]

"Ah. I'm sure she'll be back soon."

Ali doesn't look too worried, and there's plenty of distractions to explain any absence. Speaking of... "Have you tried the chocolates?"

If Ali is not worried, then Hans is not worried!

"Not yet," he says. "Seeing you was my first priority."

"Oh, you really must." Ali snags a few from a passing tray, offering him one. "These are very, very special chocolates. The tress are directly descended from one Quetzalcotal gave me."

Hans gratefully samples the chocolate and finds it much to his liking, licking his lips in satisfaction. "Most delightful," he agrees.

He manages not to show puzzlement at their source. Well, not too much. "You have very... interesting friends."

"The Nexus has been very good to me," she answers, after savoring her chocolate.

"Mm, so how would you like to celebrate?"

"Hmmm... I can think of more than a few ways."
