Opera [for Sweeney & the family]
It was Thursday, and gods (and LOLs) willing, everybody was ready for the opera. The goslings were all wearing their best, despite Morty's last-minute attempt to refuse to go on grounds of his suit not being green (he's settled on a very nice navy blue for the evening), and were quietly playing while they waited for Sweeney to arrive. Ali was ready too, in a long gown she thought Sweeney would find acceptable, and was double-checking with the nanny to make sure everything was set for those few agonizing hours she'd be away from Alured.
Even the pets were filled with anticipation: while Casey stood guard at the not-door to the Nexus, the cats prowled through the house, keeping an eye on everybody and waiting to pounce on whoever came to visit. Oh yes, there would be pouncing.
They just needed a Sweeney to pounce.
