A welcome spring

Easter's not a popular holiday in the Trainer household, but celebrating the return of spring certainly is. So, with the blessings of a fine spring day that just happens to let the goslings enjoy the games and sugar-highs at the same time as their friends, the family finds itself celebrating.

At some hopefully convenient time, Jack knocked at the door.

Ali answers, nibbling on a bun left from breakfast.

"Oh! Hello darling. Come in, please." She smiles and moves aside so he can come in. "How're you?"

Jack enters, smiling. "Quite well, thank you. I do hope I'm not interrupting."

[vicioussweetie]

"Visits from friends are never interruptions, darling, they're blessings."

One of the girls, a pretty blonde who'd been playing with her dolls, sees Jack and runs off to hide with a meep.

"That was Ingress. Don't worry, she'll come out eventually. She's still terrified of strange men." She kneels, picking up the abandoned dolls and putting them on the table. "But she has to learn it won't happen again. So how is your Easter going?"

Sasha, for her part, delights in the breakfast and the ensuing quest by the goslings, praising their victories and encouraging them in their more difficult moments. When Ali goes to the Nexus, Sasha kisses her fondly and wishes her well, staying home with any of the littles who would like some quiet time, and in case Ali should need anything brought from home.

Dinner, too, is pronounced a delight, And Sasha lavishes praise on her beloved wife for it.

As for the egg-dyed wall? Well, Sasha will be buying paints for the other children; she can't bear to paint over their son's first adventure with color, and it wouldn't do to play favorites.
