But not, this time, the same scene: instead of the breathtaking horizon studded with islands, they land in a much more domestic spot overlooking the market square in Hoffnung, one of the towns dotting the islands. *His fingers close around hers and he takes a rapid glance around the area. It seems quiet. Peaceful. Part of him wonders whether quiet and peaceful will seem peculiar for a while*

I don't know, Ali. If we are looking for housing, perhaps we would be better off asking the locals.

*And starts to walk. He's also wondering, more than a little, what the natives will make of him and his bride-to-be. Just turning up in a port and moving straight into a town without so much as a by-your-leave used to be part and parcel of piracy, as far as he was concerned. Admittedly, "moving in" back in those heady days tended to involve more screaming, killing and stealing than buying real estate and throw pillows, but still...*

She nods, staying by his side. People may be giving him a few curious looks, but they seem pretty used to Ali (or, at least, don't think she's so unusual), so she doesn't have to contend with more than the usual amount of admiring looks. When they get a view of the port, he'll see that there's enough ships coming in and out to make newcomers to town a very regular occurance.

It isn't hard to find a tavern. And this far from port, it's even the sort he shouldn't have to worry about Ali visiting.
