The laughter gets her attention, and she goes to open the door and investigate.

Me! Me! *he laughs again, the sound joyful* Did you miss me? Of course you did...

She blinks, tense until she realizes it's Astar (who she's half-sure won't try and hurt her). Letting out the breath that had caught in her throat, she closes the door again and leans against it. "Please don't startle me like that, Astar? Yes, I've missed you."
