Movie Night [for Jas/Fay/Kuro/Mokona/household]

Sep 29, 2006 12:29

Ali looked around the basement, going over her mental checklist for the party. The movies she's chosen are out and ready, she had her pink bunny slippers on, and the food was all set out. Four kinds of pizza wait in plentiful quantity: grilled chicken, onions, pepper and mozzarella with barbecue sauce; a thin crust with mushroom, tomato, onion, ( Read more... )

Once everyone's got their food and has found an agreeable seat, Ali starts the first movie (The Princess Bride) and sits down in the middle of the sofa with her food.

*the captain, whose appetite has deserted him, is picking absently at pizza until the film starts: and then he's utterly intrigued by the whole procedure. Never mind the story, look at the way it moves...*

She glances over at him after a few minutes, then scoots closer to feed him. Honestly, he's so helpless sometimes.

*And for once he's too occupied to object. Movies were definitely a good idea for a man like Hook. He does so enjoy a bit of drama and spectacle, and a story told well. He manages to tear his gaze from the screen long enough to glance at Ali with a quirked smile*

She smiles, eyes shining happily, feeding him another bite of pizza. And she's mouthing every single word along with the movie.

She's seen it a few times.

*Hook is oblivious to her miming having seen his mun do it a thousand times, being far too intent on the experience of the movie itself. If she wants to get food into him, this is a good time, as he will probably eat automatically if he doesn't have the chance to think about it*

Ah ha! She has learned the secret to keeping him well-fed. Movies!

She puts this new knowledge to good use.

Fay has arranged himself comfortably in Kurogane's lap. Whatever protests the ninja had been putting up seem to have vanished after Fay leaned up to whisper something in his ear. Now he's chewing happily at some pizza and watching the movie, enrapt.

And Kurogane is smiling in a rather satisfied way, looking through the television rather than at it. His mind appears to be temporarily elsewhere. Whatever Fai whispered to him was clearly very good indeed.

Well, while he's distracted... Fay turns just a little bit away from the movie to attempt to feed him. Why not? Pizza is a finger food and Kurogane isn't paying so much attention...

Kurogane accepts the offered food without really thinking. He takes a bite of the pizza Fai's holding, reasoning after that everyone else is occupied with watching the movie. And he's in too good mood now to protest anyway.

Fay kisses his cheek quickly, then turns back around, snuggling back a little. "Better than Romeo and Juliet?" he whispers.

It takes Kurogane a moment to realise he is being asked to evaluate the movie that he hasn't been paying the slightest bit of attention to yet. A second of listening reveals the language as easily comprehensible and less long winded, which immediately rates it above the play. "Yeah," he whispers back.

Fay is actually very bright, and notices that Kurogane obviously hadn't been paying attention. He smiles and remembers that Ali had said there was swordfighting and hopes it's better than the fencing on the stage. "Good."

The sword fighting is reasonable, verging on decent. Kurogane is sure that he could easily defeat all of the people, but then, they are only actors. He is a good Big Doggy and doesn't point this out, however. "Do you like it?" he breathes into Fai's ear.

Fay shivers just a little, happily, almost imperceptibly. He nods, snuggling back closer against Kurogane. "It's a very good story," he whispers back.
