Movie Night [for Jas/Fay/Kuro/Mokona/household]

Sep 29, 2006 12:29

Ali looked around the basement, going over her mental checklist for the party. The movies she's chosen are out and ready, she had her pink bunny slippers on, and the food was all set out. Four kinds of pizza wait in plentiful quantity: grilled chicken, onions, pepper and mozzarella with barbecue sauce; a thin crust with mushroom, tomato, onion, ( Read more... )

Kurogane raps on the door with the back of his hand, hoping he managed to remember the instructions on how to get there properly. He was fine until something - or, more accurately, someone - caught his eye and gave him reason to worry. Unfortunately, he won't even know if he's at the right place when someone answers the door, because he doesn't even know Fai's friend. Or so he thinks. Sometimes there are drawbacks to not bothering to learn people's names.

Sometimes there are indeed. When she's opened the door and looked at him, Ali gives Kuro a confused but pleasant smile. "Hi again! Can I help you with something?"

This person seems familiar, and apparently recognises him, but that is absolutely no help. He makes a mental note to get Fai to introduce him to his friends before sending him over to their houses alone.

"Are you Ali?" The Nexus should provide nametags, he decides, if there are so many people wandering about it. Not that he would use people's names even then, but it would make distinguishing between them easier.

Does it help that Fay identifies Kurogane then with a happy call of "KURO-SAMA!" and a pounce. Fay wraps his arms around Kurogane, beaming. "You're late, Kuro-ku~"

"Yeah, sorry," Kurogane apologises. "Thought I saw the princess." And it goes without saying that he had to find out if it was actually her and if she had been split from Syaoran.

"It wasn't Sakura-chan, then?" Fay might sound a little disappointed.

"No. But that could mean she's with the kid, or there's just a difference in time for them." He's been telling himself repeatedly on the way here.

"I'm sure she's with Syaoran-kun," Fay agrees. "We've been seperated much longer than this before." Six months in Yama should have them used to something like this, shouldn't it?

"Yeah," Kurogane reassures Fai. He almost wishes he hadn't brought it up, but it had been plaguing his mind too much for him to create a proper lie.

"It will be fine." In other circumstances Fay would probably kiss him, just to relieve both their minds a little. As it is he's stuck with that fake smile again, this time as much for Kurogane's sake as his own. It probably isn't helping either of them much.

Kurogane puts his arm over Fai's shoulders and pulls him against him, squeezing him a little, for a minute. Sometimes his embarrassment needs to be overridden, and if Fai's using that smile it's probably one of them. "They'll both be fine."

He smiles a little more honestly, wrapping his arms around Kurogane for a moment. He nods. "I know. They're strong."

"That's right." He lets Fai do this without complaint, even smiling at him a little. After all, he trained Syaoran a little. He knows the kid is good.

She nods, grinning. "And you must be Kuro. Please come in! And be nice to the pirate, you."

Quietly, she teases, "I'm the only one here allowed to try and undress him."

*Hook watches from a distance. Ah. This must be the ninja. Ali's comment provokes a raised eyebrow*
