"Oh?" She motions Sel towards a chair that should be mostly sheltered from the wind. She herself is huddled under several blankets, with out her gloved hands exposed for writing. "Who?"
She blinks, shakes her head, and picks up her pen again. "No, no, of course not, what could be wrong? I was...I was just struck by how exceptionally wonderful it is that he's found his lost love again."
Which definitely explains why she sounds heartbroken, doesn't it?
It takes a few blinks for Sel to realize what she's done. "Aw, no. I'm such a--I'm sorry, Ali, I really am." Rising from her chair, she makes her way to Ali to offer hugs of comfort.
"There's no reason for you to apologize. I'm very happy for him." And she is. "I have a lot of work to do." She really does, there's a whole stack of it under a few heavy rocks. "Don't you need to get ready for work?"
