5 am, and all is not well.
Even the guardians of dreams have things they fear in the night, memories and nightmares that drive them from bed. One such has been plaguing Ali lately, and has again driven her from her much-needed rest. She retreated first from the bed to leave her spouses to their slumbers, then from the house altogether once she was dressed again. Pulling a jacket and dress on over her bathing suit and sliding her feet into sandals, she grabbed her bag, locked up behind herself, and headed out into the Nexus to try and find some peace. Her first destination was the beach, where she set her things on a rock and waded out into the chilly water for a swim.
