She smirks. "Everyone keeps thinking red's my favorite color..."

"I thought so, but that's 'cause of your personality."

"Oh? I have a red personality?"

"Red with gold an' silver an' copper embellishments, like veins."

She smiles. "Okay. How did you determine this?"

"Because you have haphazard pattern-growin'-spin. You shine. An' it's pretty t' the eyes. A depth, with pulse-life."

She turns wide eyes on Victor. "You can see that?"

She shrugged. "These're just the words I go to when I lose th' people-words. The words I use in my head. See what?" She really hoped that she wouldn't change the subject. She really wanted to understand.

"Oh." She tried not to look disappointed. "I wouldn't tell anyone."

"Yeah, you would. You'd forget it's supposed to be a secret. Or you'd think it's okay because this one person is really trustworthy."

"I don't forget secrets. I just don't keep my own. I've never forgotten someone else's secrets."
