I get to pack bookshelves!!

I am rather pleased by all I managed to accomplish this weekend. There's been several weekends of late where things *should* have been done, but because of a combination of family obligations and a lingering cold, things have been put off for "later".

This weekend has seen most of those things for later finally conquered!

Including room for the baby being painted... which I must admit was all done by Alex. Taped, sanded, undercoat (x2), top coat (x2). The only thing I contributed was the colour choice. We've now got too much paint left over - having bought 15L and only used about half... but Alex's comment was "well if he ever draws on the walls"... Do kids actually draw on walls? I don't know, maybe I was too much of a goody two-shoes or I had so much paper available to me I never felt like trying to draw on the walls. Except maybe inside our cubby house once, and that was never a problem with mum and dad.

The room has now been cleared of all the stuff that made it my study... including a bookshelf that will not fit in the study that I now share with Alex. So it's moving into the space where the TV is. And hence the subject of this post... I get to (re)pack bookshelves! It may be something to do with OCD (which I have noticed elements of in my life before today), or it may be something to do with the fact I have worked in too many (well 3) libraries, or it may be that I'm a nerd, but there's something about packing bookshelves into order that I just find comforting. Unless said items being packed are horribly dusty in which case the rather absurd allergic reaction I get (including sneezing 5 times or more in a row, multiple times) seems to negate the enjoyment I would otherwise normally get.

So... of my list of chores for the weekend... the following remain:
Repack bookshelves
Buy plastic storage bins
Move suitcases (I may try to do this tonight if Alex will let me up the step ladder)
Estapol ends for the baby's bookshelf (every child needs a bookcase - duh!)
Ironing

I can think of a few other things that will be added to my list for next week... but I think 22/27 chores completed isn't too bad. Especially considering I lost about 3 hours this afternoon trying to convince my blood pressure it didn't need to be so low as to make me feel like I was going to pass out.

EDIT: 22 and a half/27 chores done (I've repacked one of the two bookshelves)
