Haven't posted in a while...
... but I have been trying to keep up with everyone's journals anyway, if not the communities.
Not that there's been much reason for me to post. My life continues to be work and church related only. Which I suppose is not a bad thing, merely potentially boring for anyone other than me.
One little thing that I got excited over recently was an ex-towel that had been turned into a rag. Yes a rag. Because on this rag at one edge was a little label that read "F E Howe". The last person in my family to have those initials (that I know of) was my great grandfather who was alive from 1893 - 1971. I'm going to keep using the rag as a rag, because realistically there's not much else to do with it, but it's a cool little bit of family history to come across.
On a work related note I have finally moved across the hallway to the new (and bigger!) rooms. I think discussions started on back in April about doing this... I moved officially the friday afternoon before the long weekend, but then spent the following tuesday morning (before the patients arrived - and thank goodness my first person was a no show) sorting out the piles of paper and other gumf I had collected. There was a surprisingly large amount given that I've not even been there 12 months. The office politics are still more than a little volatile, but I'm trying to avoid it.
Hm. I think that's my news. If I think of anything else I'll update again (or edit this post) later. Time to go get dinner things instead.
