Yes, I'm alive.
I'm still living in Alachua Florida, about 15 miles north of Gainesville. Worked the Hoggtowne Ren Faire at the beginning of Feb. Pushing the carousel.
I live in a tent at this rennie sanctuary called the Blue Moon. Think of it as an exclusive private campground. The three owners, Ray (who I'm pushing rides for), Jerry Lee (who I've been doing some work around the land for the last week or so), and Dave (who I chat silent films with) are really neat guys. een keeping a few dollars in my pocket some of the time by working for them, or selling the chainmaille that Louis and I are making at a nearby flea market.
I'll be going to the Georgia Ren Faire in early April, near Atlanta for 8 weeks. Pushing rides for ray again. Then up to New York for the faire there, and selling the chainmaille Louis and I are making. This is the same place you might have seen Louis getting found by the "American Chopper" guys a couple of years ago. He did chainmaille for the on the "Aragon" bike. (You can find that episode on I-tunes if you're interested.)
There is a chance I might be leaving Louis and the New York show about halfway through to go to the Ohio faire, and maybe manage a jewelry booth for Jen (Rays girlfriend), OR even more slimmer possibility of managing the rides for Ray at the Ohio faire for him because the fair owner has an issue with his current manager. Thats a VERY remote possibility.
After all that I'll likely be going back down the east coast and visiting the Maryland, and North Carolina faires with Louis, and ending up back here in Alachua for the winter, near the end of October. Then the cycle may start over again. But we're hoping to have enough maille made that we can go to the Daytone Bike Rally next year and make mad money there.
There... I finally made a post Wyoming entry. This is only the second time, I've had internet access since December 27th.
