dear drivers in San Francisco

Stop signs still mean STOP, even when they're in a city park. The rules of the road are not magically suspended by the presence of trees and open space.

Likewise, red lights don't cease to mean STOP just because there is road construction. It's one thing if there's someone there directing traffic through the intersection in contradiction to the light. It's another thing entirely to just keep on driving. Even if someone ahead of you goes. Perhaps, if you put down the cell phone you're (illegally) using, and looked at the light, you might realize why you just got shouts and yells from the 6 pedestrians and 2 cyclists trying to cross.

And finally, according to section 21202(a) of the California Motor Vehicle Code, a cyclist is entitled to take the lane when there's not a separate bicycle lane. You might even, just possibly, EXPECT to see a cyclist when there are BIG WHITE BICYCLE GRAPHICS painted on the road. Given this, please DO NOT accelerate hard on a very short block and come screeching to a stop mere inches behind a cyclist and start yelling at them for riding down the middle of the lane.

And to the particular corpulent fecal orifice with your shiny SUV and your foul mouth, please learn some new epithets. I do appreciate the laugh I got when you tried to insult me by calling me a dyke, but seriously, was that the best you could do?
