We just went out to Wal-Mart, and on the way there, passed a house whose yard is overrun by chickens, which often live up to their name and run cheerfully out into traffic. Either their owners or their neighbours have quite the collection of Whitetrash Yard Debris™ and dirtbikes, as well, to complete the scene!
Just a bit farther down that road there is a run-down, rusty playground - metres away from an adult bookstore and stripjoint.
And then on the way back, we passed a man riding down the sidewalk on a tractor. With his dog!
