He pretty much broke my heart EVERYWHERE during the Epically Flamboyant Showdown™, AND NOW THIS GOOD LORD.
Granted, I will be beyond shocked if Ikkaku is actually dead. This is Bleach. NO ONE DIES EVER AND NOTHING EVER MAKES SENSE, SO IKKAKU CERTAINLY COULD NOT BE OFFED IN SOME SEEMINGLY-SANE MANNER. JUST. NO.
I know he doesn’t want anyone to know about his bankai. I know that. But hey, Yumichika freaked too, and then there was a sudden magical ~*plot twist*~ that allowed him to use his shikai and everything to turn out just fine! And besides that, like motherfucking hell Madarame fucking Ikkaku would allow anyone besides Zaraki fucking Kenpachi to kill him. Not happenin’ bitches, sry.
SO. HE WILL BE FINE. END OF STORY. THIS IS NOT HOW THE 11TH ROLLS.
(Except uhhhh while I am pretty damn sure Ikkaku will be fine, this does not necessarily mean Yumichika will not promptly go and sacrifice himself somehow to make sure of this. Dear god I would never stop crying if that were actually the case.)
To be fair, I really wouldn’t be surprised if the entire 11th eventually went out in some beyond-epic blaze of glory at the end. (…it’s the 11th, enough fucking said.) Just. Not fucking now, come the hell on.
