Sometimes our timing is wrong

The movies that affected me most have all come form the period of my life in which I had less responsibility - the period before now. At anytime I could flip on the tv to a random channel at some hour of the night and catch something wholly original that would stick with me and be hard to find again. I saw such a movie today, but the setting was all wrong. Wrong apartment, wrong time of day, wrong day of the week. Fortunately, the ending of the film came after dark.

It was called Fay Grim, and I really think you should look into it. My girlfriend wanted to see a mystery, so I picked it because of Parker Posey. It took itself too seriously, I'll admit, but boy, was that ending devastating. Definitely haunting me still and will continue to for some time.

And Of Course it turned out to be a ten-years-later sequel to Henry Fool, who is the husband to the title character and the mystery behind the entirety of Fay Grim.

And yes, I fell asleep through all of Henry's scenes in the film, but I blame my damn job for that.

How I wish I caught this on cable alone some random night. That is what I will truly miss about my passing youth.

No. Scratch that. That is what I am missing during the period of my life. The period without a cable plan.

I might be addicted to television or film. And I can accept that now because I've been living without it for two years.
