Talent vs. Trying
Just recently, I took up crafting. To be more precise, I took up carving. I've carved a little owl out of clay that I left for my friend to enjoy. It was a random, fun little piece. Shortly after, I've made a squirrel. Now I'm making a female figure. it is turning out rather impressive. Out of this, I have had a realization that there are actually a whole lot of talented people out there. A ton! most of us are gifted at something amazing. Only one problem. We rarely get around to trying it. As we speak, we have genius mathematicians, writers, poets, artists, physicists, some of World's best doctors walking around. Except, they will never become any of those things because they have never tried.
If I was to give any advice to anyone at this point, it would be this, "Try doing as many different things as you can and not just once. You will only find out you are good at something, once you get familiar and comfortable with the medium and that rarely happens on the first try."
