Yay, AutoCAD!

I'm taking the AutoCAD course this session. I'm 2 weeks in and WOW. I totally love this software! I really hate drafting by hand. I can never seem to make drawings as perfect as I would like to and I can't explore ideas quickly by hand without having to pay the price in erasures and redrafts.

Now, that's no longer an issue, praise Allah! :-)

There's one chick who is taking this course for the 4th time. Um... at some point, you have to take a step back and ask yourself, if it's that hard for me, perhaps this isn't what I need to be doing for a living? What am I better at? Unless, of course, you're completely obtuse, then you're not good at anything and I pity you, because I don't understand what it's like to be useless. Everyone can do SOMETHING.

So anyhoo...

I'm staying here in Huntsville with my parents while my dear hubby is doing training out of town for work. 4-7 weeks. Wee.... It's nice to have some time to myself, but I am sleeping like complete shit because Annalise and I are sharing a room... but only until my sister goes back to her dad's, then I get to use her room. ...and hope my toddler doesn't go WW3 on the guest room. She tends to do that a lot lately it seems. My cute little Miss Mischief. Adorable. but never stops. She's actually sitting down today and watching Home Alone. I'm honestly shocked. She never stops when we're at home. Of course, she didn't get much sleep last night. Woke me up before daylight this morning. It feels like it should be 2pm. But no. It's nearly naptime. I'm counting the minutes. I love her to death, but I just really need her to calm down a bit so I can calm down. Grammy and Grandpa are helping some, for which I am quite grateful. It takes a village.

I've got about 4.5 more weeks of AutoCAD and right now, I have a very solid A. Not my typical 100, but this teacher's actually doing her job and raising the bar for me. Thank-you-very-much. I hate slacker teachers. This one's a jewel -- she really puts time, effort and thought into reviewing each student's work. I don't know where she gets the time to be so comprehensive, but I sincerely appreciate teachers like her.
