Fic List/Search: Vamp!Xander (S/X themed)

Currently: 93 fics with WORKING links - 98 fics total

What I did in the most recent update: I went through every single link and checked for broken links, fixed them when I could, and also checked to see if fics that had been previously marked as WIP were finished or not. Also, some tweaking here and there.

Gotcha. That's where I would've drawn the line as well, but I didn't want to dump a bunch of recs upon you where Xander waking up vamped was the happy ending* or climax to the story, if you were looking for fics where he's a vamp for most of the story.

(*I have character death issues, and thus tend to avoid stories where Xander being vamped is a sad ending, and for the most part don't read stories where he's vamped-but-unsouled, so my list would be pretty short if we weren't counting vamping-as-finale. There's not a lot of souled-vamp-Xander stories floating around that I've read, yours being one of the pleasant few.)

So okay, more:

Good Nurse series is, er, despite what I just said, Evil!Vamp!Xander. Not my favorite of Shelly's stories (she's the mistress of crackass comedy; the bloody romp genre doesn't quite work as well for her) but it's definitely classic vamp!Xan.

Lumina Zilei Umblet by rune_vampyr; vamping is the climax, but we do get to see Xander afterwards.

Embraced, also by Rune, counts as one of those unhappy ending stories that I don't read. Despite the fact that I've read it. *g* But again, we do get Xander after vamping. We even get smut after vamping.

And A Long Time is told from the POV of vamp!Xander, though we don't know that until about 4/5 of the way through the story.

(This has been me poking through my very old recs, and through Hidden Desires & Midnight Kisses, which has most of the really oldskool S/X from the early days of the nummytreats mailing list on it. I'm sure there's more older-than-LJ fic around; that was just my initial run at the subject. Because I am a reference geek, and I love doing things like this. *g*)

I feel pretty much the same way. If you'll accept a self-pimp: Dies Irae (3/3 chapters, complete, around 10,000 words) is my recent shot at writing the kind of vamp!Xander I can deal with. (Link takes you to chapter 1, the rest are linked from there.)
