Final Fantasy blahblahblah

SPN is officially renewed. Um... yeeee.

So I'm a longtime Final Fantasy fan. I don't talk about it much, but my whole family can probably tell you how much I would hog the television and stay up until all hours of the night playing FF games. ( Lots of rambling about the FF franchise for the past 10 years, and lots of switching between roman numerals and stupid numbers. )

video games are distracting

Me too. I'm glad Supernatural is coming back for a sixth season, but I'm a little worried they're going to really screw up the show. I read an interview with Ben Edlund about how, in his words, if there is a season six they're going to hit the reset button in a lot of ways (he mentioned there will be a lot of stand alone episodes) and he's going to write comic episode. As much as I didn't like having so many stand alone episodes this season (and I thought quite a bit of their 'comedy' was stupid) I don't really know how to feel about that. Guess we'll just to have to wait and see what season six brings.

I definitely loved VII. It's got one of the most intriguing storylines I've ever seen in a video game (Xenogears comes close, but the budget cut the producers made kind of squashed the game's full potential). But I totally fell in love with every single one of the characters in VIII.

I like X, but I've never felt the need to replay it. :/ I've never played the KH games, actually. I probably should give them a shot at some point. :D

XIII!!! DUDE, IT'S SO FREAKING SOOOOON! \o/ \o/ \o/

I was about to say 'OMG I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE A FELLOW FINAL FANTASY GEEK' but then I remembered what your AIM screename is *g*

FF8 is still my favourite, with 7 close behind it

Zell/Seifer was the first slash pairing that I stuck with for over a year. <3

Hehe! My involvement with Final Fantasy predates my knowledge of slash. Although I do vaguely recall sort of shipping Squall/Seifer

Interestingly, the only FF game I ever actually beat was XII. And it's one of my favorite games. Granted, the "main character" is rather annoying and is just sort of there, while everybody else has a part to play in the story. But I usually leave him out of my party anyway, so. :3

*shrug* I would recommend giving it another shot, but that's just because I like it and I want you to like it too.

I might give XII another shot at some point, but the story didn't seem to pick up fast enough, and the main character not being a part of the STORY didn't help. :(

In the meantime, I'll be be waiting anxiously for XIII. MAIN FEMALE PROTAGONIST, AND I KNOW THAT SHOULDN'T BE A REASON TO BE EXCITED, BUT I AM. And the plot sounds awesome. <3

FFVIII is the ONLY Final Fantasy game I like. :( I tried others a couple times but it's the only one I've wanted to play more than a few hours of... much less beat several times to get EVERYTHING at the end.

&Squall;

I wish my roomie's PS2 would let me play, but it doesn't :(

I've lost count the amount of times I've played through VIII. And I'm remember playing it when it first came out and going "WOW" at the graphics, and they still kind of amaze me, even with how much technology has improved.

My FFVIII doesn't play on my PS2, either. :( But it plays on PS3, weirdly enough. (And the PS3 won't play PS2 games, so I have to keep my PS2. It's so bizarre.)
