Snowflake cookies are way more fun than snow.
First really cold day of the season today, which served as a reminder that no matter how nostalgic I might get for snow or pretty frozen things or whatever, I STILL DESPISE WINTER. I've even TRIED to like winter before, but I just wind up moaning over being cold and barely ever seeing the sun. (It's getting to that time of year where it's dark when I leave for work and dark when I come home. Let me remind everyone that I work in a fucking BASEMENT.)
Huh. Maybe that's another good reason why I've been all over the map emotionally in the past few days.
If I ever get to retire comfortably, I'm going to be a seasonal nomad. I will stay put somewhere from May until October-ish, and then go to various places that are warm for the rest of the year. With sun.
The Sauce is on semi-permanent hiatus. I don't even know what's going on with it. The Bromide is on a two week hiatus; despite originally agreeing to take all of December off, we're coming back and playing a show on the 23rd. Christmas Eve Eve show. XD
Years and years ago, I had tons and tons of shit up on my profile. In some fit of rage or something a few years ago, I took it all down and replaced it with song lyrics. The lyrics that are up there are from "Sugarcube" by Yo La Tengo. I've probably posted this video before, but you're getting it again 'cuz I think I might be putting different lyrics up soon.
DUDE, WATCH IT 'CUZ IT'S YO LA TENGO WITH BOB ODENKIRK AND DAVID CROSS. The former are ADORABLE little indie rockers, and the latter are just fucking hilarious.
