Happy birthday, Vice (XVI)
The day before my birthday, plans fell through including my usual lake visit with Ricky's family (they're going to Vegas A-Kon weekend, so saving money is order of the day) and Tierney wasn't free for steak dinner and Grace is back in Tulsa, so I caught up on video games some. Got to what feels like the main part of Resident Evil 7 and I like it, even if some of the combat/stealth feels a bit frustrating. ZOE 2 VR is smooth and doesn't give me any motion sickness at all. :o While it doesn't feel like a revelation, it is a lot of fun and has some new features I'd like to experience. I just don't want to go against Kojima's will, you know? Finished Statik (fun puzzles, sorta vague story) and started I Expect You Die, which plays -really- well. I'm excited about doing more of that and doing these games that feel really good make it a bit hard to go to Rush of Blood which makes me feel a little ill, lol. Stayed up late watching Lorde videos on the VR headset and didn't go to bed until almost 6.
Woke up at like noon, cleaned up, went to lunch with Jason and mom at Saltgrass (the usual challenges), got nice messages from social media and the return of Spencer (even if he still owes me like $300), and cleaned up the apartment and Abby will be here in like 15 minutes. I feel a little down because of feeling less important/taken advantage of...but hoping these sort of things will pass. I still need to get my free Starbucks drink and get Overwatch GOTY for cheap. We'll probably just play games/watch movies/possibly drink. After this it's full speed ahead toward A-Kon. I'll try to get back to updating soon!
