Are you on Facebook? You could create an event to the auction so that people can share it around with their Facebook friends. If you're not on FB I can do it.

I'm not on facebook, and would be delighted if you could create an event to the auction. Thank you so much!

Done - I think you'll be able to see it if you click here:

If not it might be worthwhile signing up with LJ, at least for the duration of this event!

There is also Handmade Help Out which is being run through a few of the crafty stores around the place, in particular Meet me at Mikes on Brunswick Street. They are holding a fundraising event to which I have donated some of my crafty things.

I know people were offering BPAL perfume on the auctions community for gay marriage... would that be okay? (I don't think my writing or crafty crap would be wanted by anyone.)

Wasn't my idea - another kind person suggested it, but LJ was very prompt in replying - I don't know if they normally read sites before putting them up or do it automatically, but the timing really is ideal.

ETA: And thank you for the suggestion, by the way!

Thanks, Jen - that's a gorgeous offer. May I post that to the community as a separate post in your name, or would you like to? (I'm worried that people won't see it buried down here)

Also, can you draw from photographs, or is your offer limited to people within your area?

Thanks so much!

Catherine

Thanks so much, Jen! I've put your offer here.

I've put the starting bid as $50, and noted that postage is not included in the bid (I don't want to just write 'plus postage' because I want it to be clear that buyers here are donating directly to the Red Cross - postage is a separate issue). You'll need to discuss how the postage money gets to you with the buyer, assuming they aren't in your immediate vicinity.
