Indulging my "I still feel 13 sometimes" side.
I have to start with this: SQUEE! Nick and I went to the midnight showing of Eclipse. I sported the Team Jacob hoodie, of course. It was quite an adventure. Twihards are scary, scary fans. When we got to the theater (30 minutes early), quite a line had already formed. Mind you, all of the showings were sold out, so this was not a line for tickets, just a line to actually enter the theater. At exactly midnight, the ticket takers started letting the line in, announcing the four auditoriums you could choose from to watch the movie. There was a mad dash of preteen girls, and all the seats filled up quickly. The first one Nick and I went into was full, but we got lucky and found perfect seats in the second one. After about 15 minutes of sitting there, an usher came in an announced that people needed to squeeze in together and not skip seats because there were still a lot of people in the lobby who would be coming in. Some preteen's dad stood up and demanded they open another auditorium! Nick and I were giggling at the situation to ourselves while the usher announced that if anyone was displeased and wanted a refund, the theater would gladly provide one. Nick ventured out for snacks and returned after what felt like an eternity, just before the movie started. The movie itself was good, but for some reason it didn't hold my attention quite like New Moon had, and I found myself getting fidgety (and seriously needing to pee!) toward the end of it.
Nick left early today to run some errands before work. My major task for the day is housecleaning, as we've been seriously slacking this past week. Very disappointing after all the scrubbing and deep cleaning we did just the other week! We've caught several tiny ants scurrying across the dining room table the past few days. Where they are coming from or why they feel the need to harass ME of all people is unknown, but I'm putting an end to that today.
Tonight is the possibility of Nick and I going to watch drift cars with Rew (Nick's little brother). Hmm... Should be interesting...
