OFFICE POOL TIME!
This year I decided to play strategically and not just choose the character I deeply loved the most like I did last year. Who knows, I might have ended up with Cappie going all the way because I'm lonely and I think Scott Michael Foster is attractive. Just kidding. But playing strategically meant some actual thought processes and some research (I majored in history, guys, I research EVERYTHING.)
And I ran into a big crisis when I had to choose between Buffy Summers and Kara Thrace. The bracket is cruel and I hate it. I had an inner war going on in my brain for a good 10 minutes, but I ultimately chose Buffy because I thought she would honestly win (and because as fandoms go, Buffy's better accepted than my beloved Battlestar Galactica). And I had a hell of a time trying to choose between Barney and Sheldon (I wish I could have had them in the final two spots, but obviously, since they're both comedy, that would never work), but when it came down to it, I couldn't let Neil down. And sure NPH isn't really Barney, but I love Barney more than is probably socially acceptable, and I'm breaking about a hundred thousand feminist rules and principles by even admitting to that, but I'm kind of OK with that.
AND DON'T HATE ME BUT I CHOSE DEAN WINCHESTER TO WIN OVER SCULLY. BUT DON'T WORRY. BECAUSE ERIC NORTHMAN KICKED HIS ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS IN THE NEXT ROUND. (He even beat Buffy, and yes, I giggled when I realized a vampire beat a vampire slayer. So what? The little things amuse me.)
In fact, I have Eric Northman going all the way (heh), because hi, have you ever SEEN Eric Northman/Alexander Skarsgard? The man is the epitome of sexy.
And no, I'm not embarrassed that I just took 20 minutes to look through pictures of that beautiful man to find one to use here.
