"We'll go be heroes."
- Spike, Buffy the Vampire Slayer

What you need to know: I took a break for a bit. Had some fun over on Tumblr. Had a quarter-life crisis a couple years early, got a life and a big kid job, fangirled for a long time about Ian Somerhalder's abdominal region, continued to obsess over everything related to Neil Patrick Harris, started watching a lot of British television that wasn't Doctor Who via Netflix and Hulu and now I'm back on LJ. Hopefully to fangirl a lot more, write about Tim Riggins, Damon Salvatore and how he belongs with Elena, and how I think my DVD collection is reproducing while I sleep.
I'm Kaitlin. I'm 23. I live in the United States of America. I do actually support Barack Obama and I like my WoodWick Fireside candle a lot more than I probably should.
If you still think you need to know more about me, by all means, keep reading for the lengthy question and answer session below.
NOTE: Almost all of my television related posts are kept unlocked, so if that's what you are looking for and you don't care to delve into my psyche, then you don't need to add me.
Who are you?
Ah, I'm glad you asked. I'm Kaitlin, sometimes Kait, occasionally Kaitling, but never Katie. I'm 23 and I have a bachelor's degree in history and journalism. I live in the United States of America, but long to escape to Europe. I consider myself to be a television enthusiast, adore Neil Patrick Harris and all things Joss Whedon. I'm currently applying to graduate school. My core group of friends is made up of 95% males, so my sense of humor tends to be creepy and perverted.
What's with the quote?
I like the quote. It's one of my favorite quotes from my all-time favorite television show. Simple as that. It's my little welcome message to readers, and it has been for the majority of my time here on LiveJournal.
What are your fandoms?
Ah, yes. The most important question on the Internet. I have many as I stated above, I am quite the TV enthusiast. For a complete list of my fandoms click
here. There are very few shows and movies I hate. For instance, I do not like Two and a Half Men (possibly because Jon Cryer beat Neil Patrick Harris for the Emmy last fall, but whatever) or Twilight. And yes, I read Twilight. All four books, actually. But no, I don't like it.
Do you only watch TV?
Nope. I also spend quite a bit of time reading and I'm always looking for new authors and books, so if you have any recommendations, I'd love for you to pass them along. I also enjoy watching American football, starting projects and then leaving them to sit for months, eating Chipotle and going out with my friends and spending money I don't have. I also enjoy overanalyzing the lives of fictional characters and drooling over several sexy actors.
So, do you, like, have a friending policy?
Not particularly. If you add me I only ask two things: First, you have to be able to type in a professional manor. I'm not saying you can't use acronyms, but beyond the basic OMG, WTF, FTW, LOL, BBQ, NPH and SMG I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm somewhat of a freak about correct grammar, punctuation and spelling. It stems from my studies as a journalism major. But don't worry, I'll still add you back as long as you fulfill the second requirement. (You thought I forgot about it, didn't you?) I like to have something in common with those whom I add as friends. This could be anything from a shared favorite television show or a common friend. Hell, if you like the color red or your favorite food is mashed potatoes, that works too.
Anything else?
Yes. Close to 65% of what I post here is related to fandom in some way. Not because I have no life (I swear, I do), but because for a long time my dream was to be a television critic. I love television and I love forcing my opinion on unsuspecting readers, so why not add those two together? Well, since I've graduated college, my projected path has changed a bit, but I still enjoy television and forcing my views on other people, thus, I write about it here.
I'm rarely serious and I'm often the person to make/break awkward silences. I say what others are too afraid to say and I don't generally care what other people think of me. I live to make my friends and the people around me laugh.
