Rob Thomas sure likes to use his VM cast

How was I not aware of Rob Thomas's new show that will be on Starz? It's called Party Down and is about an LA-based catering company whose staff is comprised of wanna be writers and actors. The cast stars several Veronica Mars veterans, such as Ryan Hansen (Dick Casablancas!) and Ken Marino (Vinnie Van Lowe!).

This was brought to my attention by both TV Guide and Mo Ryan over at The Watcher today, because Kristen Bell is going to be a guest star. And you know who else is a guest star at one point or another? Several other Veronica Mars veterans.

Veronica Mars writer John Enbom is one of the co-creators, along with Rob Thomas, Dan Etheridge and actor Paul Rudd (who is one of my favorite people in the world).

I am so stoked about this. It's going to be great. I was wondering where I would see Ryan next. I kind of actually hope his character is Dick Casablancas 2.0, because Dick was such a great character. I loved him.
