the best day of my life
After spending ten straight hours in the library yesterday, there was really nothing that was going to put me in a good mood. Or so I thought. Because then Stephanie texted me and told me the greatest thing ever.
My favoritest band, even more favorite than Death Cab For Cutie, which is of course my favorite band, Blink 182, is back together. That's right. They officially announced in at the Grammy's and their website. I texted Steph back this message. "OMG THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE." Because I have been waiting for this day since they announced they were breaking up in 2005.
I can't wait for their new album. Or for their tour.
Summer 2009 is going to rock for the following reasons:
1. I will be a college graduate with two degrees by this point.
2. I will be seeing Neil Patrick Harris in a play. With Amanda. In LA.
3. Blink 182 have informed me that Summer 2009 is where it is at.
Excuse me while I go jump up and down some more.
PS - I walked over to my boss, Liz, and had this convo:
Kaitlin: OMG GUESS WHO IS GETTING BACK TOGETHER!!??
Liz: Van Halen?
Kaitlin: *pause* Actually, yes. Did you hear that too?
Liz: What?! NO! I was guessing.
Kaitlin: Oh yeah. I heard it on the radio. Eddie Van Halen said he has a lot of new material if David is up for singing.
Liz: David is cuckoo.
Kaitlin: Well, yeah. Definitely. But OMG NO! That wasn't who I was talking about.
Liz: Well who?
Kaitlin: MY MOST FAVORITE BAND EVER!!!!
Liz: *blank stare*
Kaitlin: BLINK 182!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Liz: Oh cool! Kyle used to like them too.
Kaitlin: This news made my day/night. Seriously.
