"Take a breath, Lee. Feels good to be alive, doesn't it?

As if I haven't spammed you guys enough today. And because I'm desperately trying not to do any of the numerous things I have to do for homework.... I'm gonna talk more about TV.

I just spent an hour reading comments over at the AV Club about Friday's BSG episode. And I'm still all OMFG (F=Frak).

THE BITCH IS BACK
I just can't get over how awesome it is to have Starbuck back. She's kicking ass, killing people left and right, kissing Lee, showing her loyalty to the old man, disobeying the old man by shooting after people, yelling, and acting crazy (but not crazy like in the beginning of season four, but acting crazy like season one).

If there is one thing about this show that has never changed, it's been my love for Kara Thrace. Despite my intense obsession with Jamie Bamber, and my desire to seduce him and my love of Lee and the Lee/Kara relationship, I have to admit that Kara "Starbuck" Thrace is the reason I first loved this show. It might stem from my love of badass female characters. For example: Buffy? Like I need to explain how she is badass? Veronica Mars? Seriously, made of badassery. Kara is another in a long line of blonde badasses that I love. And I have to say, I hope Starbuck keeps kicking ass for the rest of the season.

And as I write this, I have to say this.

Starbuck > Kara. What does that mean? Starbuck is the kickass side of Kara. Don't get me wrong, I love Kara as Kara. But that comes from her personal relationships with Lee, the Admiral, and Helo. That's Kara. Starbuck is the hot shot kicking everyone's ass. And I tend to like her kicking ass (and kissing Lee at the same time, like in tonight's episode, lol), than being all personal. You know what I'm saying?

Oh, and another thing. I think this really made the show come full circle, character wise, I mean. Everyone was back to who they were in the beginning. Roslin leading. Baltar running away. Helo putting the one's he loved before himself. Starbuck kicking everyone's asses and not taking shit from anyone. Lee kicking a little less ass, but right alongside Starbuck none the less (I want badly to call him Apollo, but I can't until he gets in a flight suit, I just can't). Adama taking charge and yelling at people. Tigh being an angry badass. Tyrol being the best damn guy ever, taking charge with people all over the ship.

And you know what? Even Zarek was back to his original character; he was a terrorist after all. The only person who appeared to have changed was Gaeta. But I guess I always did get the impression he was secretly angry all the time.

And I hate to say it: Dee killing herself was the only way for this whole mutiny to work. Because she would have been all over the shit in the CIC and Gaeta never would have been able to pull it off. So while it seemed out of place, yet making sense at the same time, it was also a plot device. I AM ON TO YOU BSG WRITERS!
