I want to get my own dog!
I am a dog person. I've always been a dog person. I have always had a dog (in fact at home we have four right now). Until I moved to college. And I've been living in an apartment for a year now (seriously, like Wednesday is my one year anniversary of my move-in date! Happy 1st birthday apartment!) And I really want to have my own dog.
I've been looking at humane society and rescue shelter websites. We never get our dogs from pet stores. I prefer to rescue one. I've found really cute black Labrador retriever puppies that are adorable. I would love to get a puppy, I just don't know if I want to have to worry about house training it, but I would totally do it. So I'm seriously thinking of shelling out the big bucks for a dog. My mom is trying to give me one of our four that live at home. Now, I love Tommy (in fact, I named him after my favorite movie Tommy Boy back in 1997 when we got him), but I want a dog of my very own. To name, etc.
I was thinking I'd name my new dog Riggins. I really want to name it that. But the puppy I found that I want is female, and Riggins is clearly not female (heh). So I don't know. All I know, is that when I get my future dog, whether it is male or female, it will be named after a TV character. Riggins, Apollo, Starbuck, Barney, SWARLEY, whatever. Haha. So if you guys could please fill out this short poll for me to help me make decisions, that would be wonderful!
