Golden Globes and my Elation over Pushing Daisies!
So the Golden Globe nominations have been released.
AND PUSHING DAISIES IS NOMINATED FOR BEST TELEVISION COMEDY! OMG! *jumps up and down*
AND LEE PACE IS NOMINATED FOR BEST ACTOR IN A TELEVISION COMEDY!
AND ANNA FRIEL IS NOMINATED FOR BEST ACTRESS IN A TELEVISION COMEDY!
I'm quite surprised that Kristen Chenoweth was not nominated for supporting actress. She is amazing as Olive Snook. They really need to separate the supporting actress category from series and then the mini-series. Seriously.
Despite Kristen's snub, this makes me so excited. Finally Brian Fuller's show has been nominated! To all the people who did not watch Dead Like Me (okay... this one is slighly more understandable because it was on Showtime) and Wonderfalls (there is no excuse) HAHAHAHA. YAY! I'm so happy.
It's up against 30 Rock in every category though. As much as I love 30 Rock, I want Pushing Daisies to win. Because I'm absolutely in love with this show. I love Tina Fey and I love that she is nominated, and Alex Baldwin too, but come on. Also nominated for Best Actress is Mary-Louise Parker, another woman I love, but she already won this category, so if Anna Friel wins, I will not feel too bad for her. Steve Carell and David Duchovney are also nominated, as well as Ricky Gervais. Yikes. I'm not sure Lee Pace will will this award against all of these veterns, but hey, college football was full of upsets this season, let's hope the Golden Globes will be too.
