gettin a cat.
so i'm getting a cat. i'm going to adopt one and volunteer at a shelter here that rescues cats and dogs. apparently, as though people didn't already know, they eat dogs here, and cats, too, i guess. but it's not just some underground thing. it's an actual industry, and since it's not "illegal" per se, there are organizations that work against it by rescuing as many animals as they can; since most of the meat comes from captured strays.

so yeah, i'm getting a cat this weekend. it's gonna be awesome. i'm also going to bring this cat home with me.
as an aside, i think that my dad (TOTAL DICK MOVE) is trying to get rid of hobbes (my cat at home) without telling me. so yeah, if you know anyone that wants a cat, let me know so i can tell them to take hobbes and not have him go to a shelter or to some random place.
well yeah. i'm also going to get serious about my life here in korea, basically it's just been a working vacation since i got here (four months ago!), which is awesome, but i need to do a l i t t l e growing up while i'm here.
this entails creating a real schedule of learning korean, which is still in its infancy, just doing random things randomly. i'm going to make a regimen of study times, plus language exchange (which starts next week with a korean social studies teacher at my hagwon), plus a class, and talking with strangers.
also, i need to start saving money and sending money home. also, i need to write to you all (ahem... megan [since she is the only one on contract for letters from me]), and send some christmas presents.
