What sort of things are you finding? I'd recommending having a broom and mop, some cloth rags and soap... Let's see, "objects necessary for a new arrival". Are they living by themselves or with someone else?

All sorts of contraptions made out of glass and metal. [A.K.A. lightbulbs.] The basics are easy enough to obtain, at least... I have housemates, but I should try to furbish my own room, at least.

Ah, yes, those. They do not exist in my world, and since I've never really looked at the lamps... But apparently, we'll need them soon enough.

For nighttime! But yes, they burn out after a while. Still, they're more convenient than candles.

They do seem less likely to set the house on fire, and also easier to clean. Though I've been told they should not be in contact with water.

Oh... well, that's right. Electricity can go through water, so anything that uses it shouldn't go near water. [Sounding a mite concerned here as she is suddenly seeing the potential problem with people unfamiliar with technology being put in a place with it freely available.]
