No good, they don't have... How does this even work? I'll stay away from it for now...

[Rummaging noises come from the journal, numerous but careful. It sounds like someone is exploring the item shop.]

I apologize for bothering everyone, but could anyone recommend objects that are helpful to a household? Specifically, objects that are necessary for ( Read more... )

[Grateful...and a little nervous at the idea of Cecil assisting with cleaning. Then again, as long as he isn't as reckless with electronic devices as some people....]

Anything really complicated we don't need. I'd rather keep it simple than have more accidents happen due to issues with trial and error.

[Don't worry, he isn't about to start washing windows with all sorts of cleaning products anytime soon.]

I was thinking about shelves, or perhaps a small table with drawers, to keep my room organized. Something to dust and sweep, too.

I'm sure we can get that at the item shop. They have all sorts of miscellaneous things there. We do have a broom somewhere, though we could probably use more dust rags and a mop....

[Scribbling this down while she remembers.]

[He's grabbing things as she mentions them.]

Do we have a bucket? I'd offer to buy soap, but there are a few varieties and I don't know which one we need.

Hm...you know, I thought we had one, but I haven't seen it since we moved. We should get another one. I can focus on the soap if you get that.

I can do that. Would you prefer one made of wood or one made of metal?

Metal. And...we could use some more light bulbs, too. They're much better than candles.

Lightbulbs? You'll have to describe those. How many do we need?

[She makes a quick sketch of one.]

That's not completely to scale, but you get the idea. I think we could do with a half-dozen. They should be packaged together.

Oh, those. I've seen them earlier. They are part of all those lamps in the house?

Right! But they run out of energy every so often, so we have to get new ones to replace them.

How long do they last, compared to candles?

[voice] eidolon_soul March 23 2011, 02:12:19 UTC
A lot longer, it seems. We shouldn't have to replace them for a couple of months, maybe later than that.

That'S quite impressive. If only we could create such efficient candles...

Maybe through some kind of magic....

[Because high technology is related to magic, somehow.]

Or perhaps by mixing the wax with something? We'd have to ask a candlemaker for details.
