(no subject)
Okay, it's officially time to update the old LJ. I've been ignoring it for about 3 weeks. It's not that I don't like reading about everyone's lives but hell, I did not need any more distractions during finals week. So here's what you have (or haven't) been missing....
- Another semester is over and done with. And yes, I am sad about it. You all know how I love school. I had some really sweet classes this semester and I'll miss them. I really dedicated myself to working hard this semester. And I'm glad to see it paid off. My grades are really good and I raised my gpa up quite a bit. Also, finally deciding on Sociology as a major this semester was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I love being happy with myself.
- All of us in the box office had a holiday party last week. I really love my job & the people I work with. I always call us a dysfunctional family because it's so very much the truth. We tease each other and bicker like siblings. I love it.
- I hit my head on my metal bed frame last week. I had gotten up at 3AM and on my way back in to bed, I had thought I ducked enough to be under Ashley's bed but um, apparently I wasn't. So when I dove into bed, my head hit the metal frame and I fell right back out of bed. And then proceeded to call my mom. Yes, at 3AM. Can never be too safe with head injuries. I woke up the next day with a big bump. And it still hurts now. I'm pretty sure I killed some brain cells that were holding some HDFS knowledge because my old people exam was definitely harder than it should have been. You never know.
- I'm contemplating a minor in Spanish. Yes, again. I was so set and ready to be done with Spanish. And then, there I was, walking out of my last Spanish class crying. Am I really ready to end what I've dedicated seven years of my life to? I think I just got so fed up with it when I was having troubles with deciding a major. But take away all of the bullshit with classes and the shitty UConn department, and I still love the language more than anything.
And that's about it. Christmas is on its way. And very quickly, I might add. Winter break has been treating me well. Lots of relaxation. What more could a girl ask for.
