So I did
Remix 10 this year, which I've been looking forward to ever since I joined the fic-writing community a little too late to participate last year. And it was fabulous! I wrote two remixes for it, which I'll be posting shortly, and got two in return, both of which are Narnia fics written by the tremendous
snacky:
Where There's No Snow (The Baby You Can Sleep While I Drive Remix): In the afterlife, it's not quite Heaven without Edmund and Susan, so Peter and Lucy search for their siblings. Last Battle AU, where Edmund survives the train crash.
Remix of my fic
Where There's No Snow, looking at things from Peter and Lucy's perspective as they travel the Real World, always just a step behind their lost siblings.
The Endless In Between (The Read Between the Lines Remix): Susan does not think her heart could break yet again. But it does, as hard and painful as all the times before, and silent tears roll down her cheeks at her daughter's words.
A gorgeous and heartbreaking remix of
The Endless In Between in which we see some of what happened to Susan's daughter after she's left on her own to grow up and rule.
In other news, I'm thinking of doing
het_bigbang, though this is probably insane and doomed to fail since my productivity writing-wise has gone way downhill since I've become gainfully employed. I also don't know what I'd write - the obvious choice would be to write the second part of Down This Chain of Days, since I have it largely plotted out, I've promised it to people, and I'm comfortable writing Mal and River. However (I blame
snacky and
rthstewart for this!), I have this crazy urge to write a giant, angsty, epic Narnia/The Silmarillion crossover fic featuring Susan/Maglor, my ultimate crack crossover OTP. The problem with this, of course, is that I'd never find anyone to beta such a thing and there would be an audience of like, two people for it! And yet, the heart wants what it wants...
