There was a thread on Outpost Gallifrey as was, a few months ago, called 'Stop Doctor Who' - a game where you think of ways to, well, stop Doctor Who. In story, that is. Eg:
BARBARA: I think there's something very odd about that new girl, Susan Foreman. What do you think, Ian...?
IAN: She seems perfectly normal to me.
BARBARA: You're right. I'm just being silly. Doing anything at the weekend?
This could easily be extended to practically anything. Stop La Boheme:
MIMI: Oh, where can my door key be?
RODOLFO: Found it! There you go.
MIMI: Thanks. Night then.
Stop Torchwood:
QUEEN VICTORIA: We will found an organisation to be ready for him, should he ever return. And we will call it... UNIT.
