it was hell. And then... the LIGHT!
So yeah, my internet AND cable have been off for about a week now. It sucked so much. Not so much that I was bored but because I just know I'm getting booted off my Halo 2 clan and will have to explain why without sounding like an ass. ::sighs:: As longa s I'm on for "Clan Night" (7:30 EST) things should be ok; shows my "dedication". I'll tell ya one thing, though. I'm gonna suck soo much tonight.
Alex is gone -- for those who didn't know, he's my cousin who has been living here for a few months... correction: was living here. He started giving up in school (ex., he's given a test to do, and he hands it back without taking it), he's got detention AND Out-of-School Suspension, attacked a kid in school and has charges against him now, AND called that kid and another teacher a cunt.
In a way it's sad to see things go like this, but in another, I'm happy. My mom and Grandma Irma took custody of him to get him out of the "ghetto" life he lived in, this way he has a new chance to start over and change his life, to "break the cycle" that his father and simblings lived. Instead, he threw it all away -- all hopes he could ever want are garbage now. But living with him was torture. He would lie, smoke, and have this negative aura around him, and it brought the house down spiritually.
Here's some stuff for ya. We have this belief in the family that Byzantine candles reveal the negativity in the house. What I mean by "Byzantine candles" are the tall scentless ones in a glass tube, usually with a Catholic icon drawn on it. Well, a few weeks ago, my mom came up to me and asked if there was something that's been bothering me and if I've been having bad thoughts about it. When I asked why, she showed me the candle she had in her room. The entire tube was black -- although the common excuse is soot/smoke from the flame, it spiritually represents the bad feelings of the house. It blew me away... usually just the rim is tinted dark, but that's usually frustration, stress, and other minor feelings. So... I dunno where I'm going with this lol Anyway, I think this is a sign of a new start.
Actually, I feel that I know what this new start is, but I'm gonna give it a little more time before I start telling everyone, even though some already know. (personally, for those who do, it's not that big of a deal if ya told; I'm just procrastinating and avoiding the fact I'd have to tell everyone).

Speaking of "thieves", I wanna do some "minor" upgrades and buy FFXI. For some reason I really really really wanna play it. Anyone have an old computer they don't want, or spare computer parts you're gonna throw away? I'll take anything (hey, I can use my old computer as a personal web server!)
