I never had any idea that such a creature like a Nobody could be formed, just from the loss of a heart. I can hardly believe that one such as I would have a strong enough heart to form an enigma like yourself. Lexaeus has told me who you are, what you are, and how you were formed.
I know I am to die. I am to lose my heart so you can be formed. The question has only been 'when', and no one knows when that will be...save you. But by the time you read this, if you ever do, I will probably be back in my own time, and going to my fate.
You don't have the heart to feel sorry for me, not now, and I am sure somewhere you hope I am to die, because then you will be born, and you will exist freely as you already do. But I do hope, should you be able to return here, that you will regain your heart one day, so you can understand and express what I have attempted to.
We look different. We act differently...this I know and understand. But I do not know the depth to which you feel for your old comrade. You and I both know how I felt for Elaeus...how much he meant to me. Even without a heart, surely...
No, that is foolish thinking. Without a heart, you cannot feel, but one day, when you regain your heart, I do hope that you allow yourself to feel. Long ago, as me, you enclosed yourself in your books and in your research, and only a few people could penetrate that shield. Now you veil yourself in illusions.
Life is too short, Zexion, Nobody or no, to waste it as such.
Elaeus never knew how I felt, and he never will. Do not make the same mistake I did.
