(no subject)
So I found out today that I got acepted to UMASS Boston to be a teacher of the visually impaired. I am very excited as this will definitely allow me to keep working with kids. Not to mention it compliments my Vision Rehab degee beautifully. Although we'll see how I enjoy going to school and working full time.
On other things, I am going to New Jersey to visit Sioban! hooray! And also visit Chris at The Seeing Eye. I am so excited because I get to see Sioban, have Qdoba, go to lush, go to crumbs, go to Lenny's, hang out, and see my honey! All in one weekend.
My poor braille note has some issues. Due to some miscommunication between a friend and I, she offered me an update. Thinking I had 7.5 she handed me the SD card. Now my braille note will not do anything except demand a product key from me. I called HumanWare and thankfully I can reinstall 7.0 and it should work fine. I just need to hunt down a 512 MB SD card.
An instructor fro The Seeing Eye came out for a visit yesterday. I am still having some issues with dog distraction and I needed some help. But could we find a dog? No! We seriously walked around Newton for three hours trying to scout out a dog. To kill time we walked through the grocery store and he said that Walker has so much personality and he actually thinks. We were walking by the meat case and Walker's head would turn towards it but he would immediately get back on track. That also means that my leash corrections had some carry over effect. So go my super handler! We did run into a few dogs and he wathed my leash corrections and I only really have to work on my timing. So I think we'll make it.
That is about it on my end. Just working and going to the gym. I love going to the gym and have been going a couple times a week.
Alrighty time to feed the monster and myself :)
