Oh, Eugène, Eugène...

Eugène says I am impossible to play video games with. He knows I abhor killing. That's what most of these video games are -- sheer butchery, little else. We were playing this multiplayer fighting game, the name of which I forgot, and Eugène was hacking away at everything that moved with his sword. I stood around, and Eugène criticized me, saying, "If you're not going to help be kill these things, why are you playing in the first place?"

These combat games are a computer-generated bloodbath. What's the evil in that, some may ask? Well, how is it that children as young as ten years old manage to get their hands on games rated M?

Even card games have become dangerous. I have heard of a case in which a boy killed his friend over a Pokémon card.

And so, I detest video games.

(Sleep calls now.)
