Who's Who in the KtD game.

I'm going to start posting the session notes, in abbreviated form - both for my players and my personal sanity (I like to pretend to still have it, work with me here).

I'm going to go over the session as a whole, then touch on things that are interesting to me, and segue into Character-specific notes. I'm really liking posting in this breezy yet business-esque style, it's madness, as well as a great dichotomy. Good stuff!

Before I get into putting in my notes, I will list the Curriculum Vitae for Our Heroes. This will reduce any confusion about who these people are (and how I see things).

Grunty: Male Half Orc, Former Pirate, current Adventurer, Full Party Member of the Doomed Dozen. A NPC played by himself (full F.I.).

A super-genius by Half-Orc standards, Grunty is best described as a Ho-Ho; Orc on the outside, but entirely Human on the inside. He's genuinely interesting, as it's neat to play a human-in-a-funny-suit (and have it actually be good role-playing). Currently Eshana's pet, entirely in the same way that a 90-year-old woman would have a mutated, rabid wolf-hound as a pet.
Xundar: Male Human, Former Adventurer, current Chronicaller to the Doomed Dozen. A PC played by Doc_Smiley.

I like the way that some NPCs are fully party members but Xundar isn't. Rather a wise move, actually. A semi-accomplished Warlock, emphasis on the power-level and less on practical experience, he does a great job of fooling everyone into thinking he's a Bard.

This might be because he is one (Go Go, D20 a-la-carte class selection!). Lots of complex, long-term goals that I can't state publicly (darn!). Has a neat magic item that can add any feature to Xundar, but can't remove features. Typically uses it to create wings.
Tabriz: Male Human, Adventurer, go-to team member for Magic stuff. A PC played by Chris.

A shy and retiring party-leader (this may change). Currently, the most mercenary of the group as well. Tabriz gets rather a lot done while looking inoffensive and low-key. A full Necromancer who doesn't try to hide as a Mage, but no-one thinks to ask his real class anyway. Also one of the few party members that reliably acts in a "good" manner.

Archibald McChoke: Male Human, former Reality-Displaced person, current Mayhem Maker and Full Member of the Doomed Dozen. A PC played by Samothing.

A hideously scarred yet personally offensive character, Arch goes through encounters like a Allosaurus through chickens - they would be tasty morsels, but he doesn't notice them in his mad rush for bigger things. He spends his free time on his hobby of self-induced organ failure, but mostly acts as the first (and only) combatant when the party gets into trouble.

Originally signed up with the Doomed Dozen in another reality entirely (with that reality's versions of Xundar, Tabriz, Sibuliaz, and Nemtana). This doesn't seem to bother them (nor him).
Adorai: Female(!) Human, Adventurer, go-to team member for weird stuff and interpersonal relations. A PC played by Phirefly.

An insanely attractive Cleric of the godess of Love (and Lust); Adorai gets people moving (whether or not this is required). Fun for the NPCs to interact with, Adorai is concerned with looking dignified and spreading her faith. So far, she has been follower-collecting in preparation for founding a temple in the area.

Eshana: Female Human, Adventurer, trap expert. A NPC played by Phirefly.

An acolyte of Scinthalis, Adorai's... handmaiden, so to speak. Young, quiet, and stealthy. On the rare occasions that she speaks, shows a cynical, witty demeanor. One of the many young wards of  Adorai's original temple.

Alice: Female Human, Former greeter at the Tranquil Tavern, current Familiar to Xundar. A NPC played by Phirefly.

Currently under orders from Xundar (and was planning previously) to serve Adorai and learn of her religion. Looks very similar to Eshana; she was released into Adorai's care after some negoitation with the local law over Eshana's illegal activities. She had a magical accident where she absorbed some of Xundar's magic and now joyfully submits to his will (and acts as his Familiar).

Now that she is a hanger-on to the party, she oscillates between crazed rage (Xundar is in trouble) to relative passivity (Xundar isn't in trouble). Fun fun!
Lilit: Female Half-Human/Half-Celestial, Former healer for a nondecript village, current adventuring Cleric (of the force of good). A PC played by Lilitusama.

The only naturally-winged member of the Doomed Dozen, Lilit has matured nicely from a wide-eyed, inexperienced, empathic Cleric to a highly-experienced wide-eyed empathic Cleric. The rare moments of fear/anger/psychotic abusiveness are getting less rare, which is always good. Er, bad. Well, you know what I mean. She's getting "character" now, even if it is somewhat of the wrong type.

Has recently perished (and been resurrected). Was able to meet her mother in the Abyss while dead. This has been an interesting experience for everyone involved (Lilit's Mother, [beka], me, and her step-father, Charm).

Duom: Male Cat (Domestic Shorthair), former Balor leading a demonic horde, current enforced pet for Lilit. A NPC played by himself (full F.I.).

Duom is under a Geas to look and act happy to be Lilit's pet. Fortunately for her, evil thoughts don't transmit through air very well, so Lilit is blissfully ignorant of the fact that this little animal despises her beyond all reason.

His character is an unholy fusion of Ren (from Ren and Stimpy fame) and Captain Trunk (Sledge Hammer's Boss from the TV show of the same name). Super-Angry, Super-Spastic, and totally unaware that he actually enjoys those feelings.

Angra-Hangle: Female Cat (Himalayan), former domestic policy advisor to Duom, current enforced (but enjoys it) pet for Adorai. NPC played by me.

Also under a Geas to look and act happy, in this case to be Adorai's pet. Much more stable than Duom (both in their Demon incarnations and now). Before he was happy to be not in charge - now he's (she's?) happy to witness Duom's downfall (and pain). Cold, calculating, but not a full character.

I currently play Angra-Hangle myself - haven't had the time and energy to build an F.I. for this character. If the team ever makes those telepathy rings, I'll have to play this character too. Argh.
EDIT: F.I. stands for "Functional Intelligence"; after all, although they live in my head and are separate from me, if they were A.I.'s, then, by definition I'm a lot weirder than I thought...
