I figured on Friday that I would win any award for having the most unusual thing on my car in March. We finally loaded up our Christmas tree, and I hauled it into work for a friend to burn. It actually still had needles on it, and it still smelled so nice! My tree did get some looks, but just as I was enjoying weirding people out, someone drove by with a moose in the bed of their truck! I'm not sure if it was the whole moose or just the head. It was massive. All I got a glance at were these giant horns and a big head.
Anyway, our Christmas tree is finally gone.
Over the weekend Anathea and I got sick. I think we each had different things going on, but I had a miserable stomach bug. My stomach ached, and I couldn't eat. It is rare that I can't eat. Thankfully no ralph-n-poopen (yet). It was really hard getting out of bed this morning, but I finally made it and had some toast (I was starting to suffer from lack of calories). I made it through today reasonably well, so hopefully this thing is on its way out. Anathea had a fever yesterday, and she was very crabby (as to be expected when one is sick). This morning though she seemed completely better. She slept in a bit, but I think she is on the mend. I was worried she had rotavirus, which has been ripping through the daycare. Daycares are such biohazard facilities! My mom was telling me about this daycare program in Janesville that is specifically for sick kids. I think that is a great idea (I can't imagine who'd want to work there - yipes snotty noses nonstop!!). It is so hard to use sick time just to stay home with your child. So I think many people (I'm guilty of this too) send their kids in anyway (the state has regs, but they can only boot you if the kid has a fever).
Anyway, this was super rambly. Probably a testament to my lack of sleep....
